• VitroSys owns the technical know-how to produce a new plant through protoplast fusion. This is one form of cell fusion technology which unites two or more protoplasmic cells of different types into a cell having the useful characteristics of each of the combined cells. For example, in animal cell fusion, a fast growing cancer cell can be combined with a normal cell that produces specific anti-cancer agent. Hence, a fast growing anti-cancer agent manufacturing cell is obtained. Another example is the combination of tomato and potato cell that results to the production of both tomato and potato in a plant.
